PS4 / Xbox controller

    I'm using a PS4 controller with Unity, the problem is from my understanding Windows is treating the PS4 controller as an Xbox 360 controller, so in Unity I've mapped the PS4 controller correctly and it works properly except for the L2 and R2 buttons are also controlling the right stick horizontal. I can delete the windows created Xbox controller in settings but every time Windows detects the PS4 controller it adds it as an Xbox controller. This seems like a pretty big deal to me it renders using a PS4/Windows/Unity useless, I'm surprised I've haven't seen any similar threads on here.

    Hi, are you sure you don't have any software installed that does this? PS4 controllers don't appear as Xbox controllers by default.

    None that I know of. I’m using the PS4 with DS4 and a usb
