    Hey Everyone!
I am working on a new game called Providers: Here is a little bit of info about the game!

Providers is an RPG based game! Put in a post-apocalyptic world you play as a character known as the provider. After a major explosion caused by starstreak inc. The world as you know it is gone!
Complete quests for NPC's to unlock rare items or earn credits and karma! The game offers an entire karma system where you have the choice to be good or evil. NPC trust will depend on your choices you make!

Spend your credits you earn on items from shops like weapons or ammo. But remember some items are so rare in the game that most shops do not carry them! You can earn credits by completing quests for NPC's or just finding hidden treasures around the map!
There is also a full day and night cycle as well as a complete weather system too add a more realistic feel to the environment around you!

The world in Providers is massive! Discover new cities and explore them. Each city has a unique resource to them! Your job is too liberate these cities and have them work together to fight off the starstreak machines that went rouge after the explosion happend. Dont go exploring without a weapon though, Wildlife has become way more aggressive then normal.

    Hello godofwarfare115
I admire your ambition and your concept seems interesting.
I won't comment on the frame rate issue in the video and the graphical improvements which I presume are in the works.

The one thing I think you may want to reconsider is your "reasons" for asking for ks funding.
There are 3 flaws I see with the reasons you are asking for up front funds.
Unity 5 overcomes the need/desire to upgrade to Unity 4x pro for the sole reason of graphical improvements which you listed. You are using Unity 4x indie for development since you have not exceeded the 100k threshold to require the Pro license, so upgrading to Unity 5 is a more economical sound solution instead of upgrading to Unity 4x Pro.
If you are speaking about upgrading from U5 indie to U5 Pro - there is no graphical improvements from the indie version to the pro version.
I can understand the desire to use professional 3D software to create assets for the game. I personally moonlighted over 14 months to purchase professional software. But a free, nearly comparable, 3D modeling/animation software exists in blender. Knowledgeable 3D artists could easily become comfortable with blender in 1-2 weeks, overcoming the need to purchase expensive software upfront.
Lastly if you do happen to reach your funding goal - people are to expect the game to be released on 4 additional platforms, one of which has distinctively different hardware configuration, which requires a lot of rework to deploy to.
I've read (no hands on experience) developing for current generation and last generation hardware requires additions to the programming department which isn't trivial.

I'm not trying to discourage, I'm trying to be helpful and note things other potential fund-ers may take note of and pass on. Consider reworking your list with realistic points why kickstarter funding is needed for this game to be developed.

I will follow your progress with interest. Good luck!

I Fully agree with what was stated here.

I highly think that you should have waited until you had more appealing content and gameplay footage before requesting funding on KickStarter as it would better your chances at being fully funded
I highly suggest you add your own in-studio assets/content, At first glance it looks like you guys just bought some cheap assets and dropped them in with little or no modification / customization.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not "bashing" your game. I just think you guys should put more work and effort into the overall look and visuals of the game rather than little systems like the "Karma System" you mentioned.
This project truly has potential but it needs more work before you guys can expect to be "funded reasonably", I've seen many projects just like this go down for reasons which could have been avoided. Please work on your approach.

Again i must elaborate, I'm not "bashing" your project. I actually like the concept but there is certainly room for improvement, Don't let another good project go down the drain.

Thank you both for your awesome feedback. This is why I love working with the unity community so friendly!
We have subscribed to unity for now to see how pro works and so far it is great! The only reason I have not switched to unity 5 is because of the major changes to the engines sources such as coding audio sources and other things just seems like useful time to be working with what you already know! The gameplay you see in the youtube videos was from the unity free version. Now since we have upgraded to pro, static batching and GPU skinning has vastly improved the frame rate. That and my PC is not what you would call a great gaming PC...

Anyway thank you for your feedback, you are right we still need to focus on more core mechanics of the game and features before we released a kickstarter. Our honest mistake, I will be taking down the names that have already pledged and will put them on a list and when the game is a little bit more developed we will re-launch a kickstarter campaign.

    Thanks again! :)
