Protecting Asset Code/Licensing

    Currently nearing the end of development on a pretty big volumetric sky and clouds asset. Planning on putting it on the asset store, but I don't want to risk people downloading it and redistributing the code for free. As far as I understand it, there's not really anything built into the asset store to protect from this happening.

    As such I was thinking about creating a licensing workflow, sort of like NatureRenderer's strategy.

    That said, got no idea where to start with something like this. Anybody who has tried to solve this problem in one way or another---what advice do you have? What strategies have worked for you? Thanks in advance!
