Terrain Pros/Cons of not using terrain editor

    What im wanting to do is place trees (maybe grass) as an independent gameObject/prefab with interactive scripts. If possible im wanting to add wind, but id have to make a custom animation.

    Would loads of these trees cause a system impact compared to using the terrain editor?
