Project updates to 5.3 without asking?

One of my projects just updated to 5.3 because I accidentally opened with that version. But I didn't want to update it yet. Previously there always was a warning dialog before that, but I didn't see one this time.

It's not that I don't have the project in version control, but this could be pretty destructive for people who don't. And for everybody else it's just annoying to reimport the project.

Is this a known issue or should I report it?

What version did it "update" FROM ? If it was a 5.x project, then it technically didn't get updated.

If you've ever tried to downgrade a project without deleting the library, you'd know it's not that simple. All sorts of wierd hidden issues can appear, and also there are some automatic script updates that could break the project. And reimporting the project might not be a huge problem, but it's still unnecessary as this was not an issue before.

That's why my question still stands: is it a known issue, is it by design or should i report it?

btw. it was a 5.2 project, and it *did* update some files (which you could easily miss without version control).
