Games Project Skateboarding (Concept / Help)

    Project Skateboarding (A Love letter to the Tony Hawk series)

    Hi everyone. So I'm still fairly new to unity. My background is more with graphic design and modeling. I'm currently working on a game with a friend in the style of the Tony Hawk games. My biggest issue is making a controller that feels like a Tony Hawk game. So being able to roll up ramps and pull combos for example. As for progress however I've completley made a Ui from scratch aswell as a concept for the 'Select a Skater' menu. If anyone could give me some possible feedback and insight into how to make a control that would better replicate a Tony Hawk game I would be extermely grateful.

    It's not much. I'm not really a coder so I honestly don't know where to begin with getting controls that feel even remotley like a Tony Hawk game. At the moment you can move and jump.

    Just my input, not sure if it helps (if does maybe I can get some credit? He he)
    Have you seen that there are numerous skateboard models / halfpipe models available on the asset store... no need to model any.. then also consider this: use the standard unity car controller for physics (skateboard has 4 wheels right?!) and adjust the physics to suite your board..
    for player motion consider using final IK.
    Simple :)

    yes i saw .

    but how can use car controller at skateboard that the front wheel not steer like at car left right ?

    and how to then tricks with a car controller like kickflip with character controller.

    also how can make a snowboard and ski controller ?


    what cam final ik do ?

    Yes i saw the assets for skateboard in asset store this at github i not found i found an other but not working and this also for way old Unity need update it to 2017 unity.

    You also have an idea for inline skate and
    you also know how can make a snowboard and ski controller ?

    I recommend you to learn Unity and research more, then ask questions when you have tried to make something work.

    i know much unity much and c# but its always time .

    we want it as side fun features to our game so have not enogh time todo all self i thats why i ask otherwise if not find good things that can be done without to much time consuming as side fun features additional to main

    No worries, I guess any ready asset helps :) I have been busy for 2 years on my game, still not finished. It's like a marathon and you hope there is a prize at the end (not always the case) :) Be prepared to work hard/long hours.

    Yes you know some for the sports we want make ?
    like skateboard, inline skate, snowboard , ski , hockey, skydive , parachute , wingsuit, etc

    Hi, yes I sold my games, e.g. steam. You have to make them :)
