Project not opening

    I shut down my project on 3rd of July by saving scenes and saving project and then closing Unity. Today, the 4th, when I open my project, I get this on my screen, and when I click "Debug", it just shuts down. This is a project I have been working on for over two years, so it is sort of important for me to get it working.

    If I open a blank or new project, Unity opens up fine.

    This is Unity 5.6.1f1

    Re-installed Unity, and I still get the same error.

    I try to open the back-up of my project I made yesterday, and I get the same error.

    hey, sorry to hear you're having issues opening your project. Can you please make a copy of your project (to have the original as backup) and try the following solutions :

    - delete the Library folder in your project, then try to re open your project in Unity
    - create a new project and drag the Assets folder from your old project into the newly created one

    Tried the first option but had the same result. Trying the second option now.

    An earlier backup from the 12th of June does work, so I have that if all else fails.

    Second option had the same result. I am going to try and open the project on another PC.

    How do I get a bug report if the program just crashes?

    you can send a bug report from an empty project and attach the project in an e-mail following the bug report in our tracker Fogbugz. if the project is to big you can upload it to Dropbox and send us the link. if you don't have Dropbox we can find a solution how to send it to us

    OK, I will send it tomorrow as I have been busy with this for 14 hours straight now and I am wrecked. :).

    It is 7.5 Gigs, so I will have to upload it somewhere.

    (PS Tried it on another machine and it did the same on there.)

    This is the error messages that come up. So it is something to do with the toolbar for Plygame. But as this has been working in 5.6 up to now I don't know why it is a problem now.
