I have downloaded the 2019.4.20f1 LTS unity hub editor. When I create a project, unity hub just closes and when I go back onto unity and try to open the project. I get this error every time. Please help. 2021-03-05.png

I'd start by verifying whether the project patch actually exists, and that you can access it using either the file manager or command prompt.

And are the project files in that folder? If all you've done is just create it, I'd just create a new one really.

There are no project files in the chosen folder.

That's probably why it can't find it then.

Try creating a new project again. It sounds like something went wrong the last time, where it actually didn't create anything for the project except an empty folder. See if it works with another try. Try just creating a vanilla project this time though, instead of from an existing template (not sure if that is what you did last time or not).

When i click on new project, the only options are 2d and 3d. How do i create a vanilla project?

Choose 3D unless it is specifically a 2D project. What I was referring to is there are a lot of other templates now available that you can add when you create projects, which can be fairly complicated with their own unique sets of dependencies. Just avoid those when trying to troubleshoot why you can't create and open any project.
