    OSVR demo

Hello all , for about a month a couple of people and I have been working on a small game for the OSVR , a procedurally generated dungeon crawler. Here are a couple screenshots from throughout this month of development and a small demo video !

What remains to be done before a playable version are guards walking around the level which you must avoid , progressive/infinite levels and of course a VR HUD to replace the text. Also a bunch of content should be added along the way to add to the uniqueness of each level.

If you cant see anything in the previous video , watch this one.

    Any feedback is appreciated !

This could be fun!, You should try to make the dungeons a bit more interesting though. Add some more probs and so different hallways. Looking forward to seeing more I've always had a weak spot for randomly generated dungeons. :D

Yeah this demo is currently in a shell state , where the generation is "complete" but lacks content. Since then I have added a couple more item generating props like small drawers with candles on top , small tables , boxes , also map generation now features monster spawns and stairs to go up or down levels. Levels get harder as you approach the top and bottom since the space gets smaller and monsters wont be able to move between levels. Thanks for your feedback , I look forward to hearing your thoughts later on !

To anyone who is wondering about the state of this WIP, I have been working on it as a level generator asset and slowly added more props to work towards a complete game. Below are links to download a demo of the current state of this game / asset , the OSVR link is for HDK owners who want to try it out with their HMD.

I played it on Windows 8.1. Works smoothly. Mouse look moves a bit slow. It looks a bit similar to Ultima Underworld. It would be nice to see dungeon map. Escape key does not exit program as expected.

Thanks for the feedback , didnt know about the escape key not working and I actually have got the scripts for the map so I just updated the links with a new version with both of those features. Mouse look might be a DPI thing because its actually a little too fast for my taste on my end.

Seems I removed the map for the VR build and didnt remember to put it back for the regular version , its a bit funky as I implemented a lazy "compass" mode but it should help you navigate the dungeons. I also turned on random dungeon generation on startup so you can just quit and start up in a new dungeon.
