ProBuilder Prefab icon image of the object is not showing up but standard prefabs are?

When I create an object w/o ProBuilder and drag it into my assets, it creates the prefab with an icon-picture of the object.

When I create an object w/ ProBuilder and drag it into my assets, it just shows the default Unity blue cube icon.

Reworded: In my prefabs assets folder, prefabs that are created with a standard 3D game object show pictures of themselves. ProBuilder prefabs are just showing a blue cube.

    What gives?

Hi! Because PB meshes are stored in the scene, Unity can't show a preview in the usual way. Sorry, we're looking into solutions to this :)

    Ah, ok.
For me, this is good news. I though that I must have been doing something wrong.
    Thanks, you guys are awesome!

Hi @gabrielw_unity Any further progress/update on this? I've got a lot of probuilder prefabs and it's becoming difficult to select the right one without a preview icon.

Sorry, nothing new. Root of the problem is that meshes are stored in the scene, which is currently best for various reasons ... new mesh Asset should solve this, but it's a big change, and will take time. Sorry!

Okay, no problem, I'll have to wait then. Thanks for the response.

For the time being I've started exporting as .obj any probuilder prefabs that I'm pretty sure won't need any further editing. Then they get their preview icon back, which is helping somewhat.
