Looking for ProCore ProBuilder community maps to be added into our upcoming game, Desolation, styles should meet design and scale of maps in games like Counter Strike, with a near futuristic science fiction skin, the best 5 maps will be added into Desolation on release and the creators will be added into the credits with full credit for their maps.

This contest will be held from Monday, 22nd of September 2014, to Monday, 27th of October 2014.

    Texturing is optional but preferred.

We do reserve the right to change or edit these maps to incorporate better gameplay mechanics, but full credit will still be given for these maps, and does not effect your rights.

I wouldn't really call this a contest. It's just a shallow attempt at getting people to work for you for free. This probably isn't even in the right section.
Even the dubious practice of Crowdsourcing usually at least pays one or two of the people who contributed by saying they "won" with the best contributions.

Also, the very nature of your game is questionable. According to your site you're 18 years old, started working on games last year, and your "company" uses all free tools, which basically means you don't even have any funds.
My overall impression is that your "company" is composed of you, and possibly one or two friends. None of you have any money, you can't reasonably do the work yourself, and you want to get other people to do it for you but you can't pay them either.
Far as I can tell, you barely even have a game right now; just some generic pictures of sci-fi hallways.

Just a reminder: if you see a blue arrow next to a topic, that means it's been moved. So there's no need to report it for being in the wrong section. (Unless the category it was moved to was also wrong. ;) )

So basically you're looking for someone to make your content for you. Which is understandable because, despite the wording on your site claiming that you've made "several ground-breaking technological advances in graphical quality and realism", your Dark Star game looks terrible.

Why not give constructive criticism instead of piling on with negativity?

If I may suggest, @Labyrith Studios, providing an actual spec and brief would make a much better impression than just referring people to someone else's game.

Because the claims on his website do not match his examples. If someone is going to brag about their supposed ability then I would expect them to be capable of showing it off. Not providing screenshots of simple environments with overkill bloom.

Plus aside from Dark Star we haven't seen any evidence he has put any effort in himself.

But that doesn't answer the question. :p I'm not disagreeing that the presentation is less than optimal, I'm just saying that everyone has a choice between a) doing nothing, b) helping them improve and c) ... lets just say "being needlessly negative".

One of those things helps make a positive, vibrant, collaborative community.

Another one of those things does quite the opposite.

What kind of community do you want to be a part of?

Our website hasn't been updated in a while, we do have a small amount of funds, and we do not use many free tools any more.

To elaborate before there is any more confusion, this was not an attempt to get free work, I am a 3D artist myself and I have designed many maps, this was an attempt to raise awareness for an upcoming title, and give the community a chance to contribute and possibly raise a small fan base by the end, by your reactions I can see that this was not a good idea at all.

A better way of raising awareness would be to actually have some online presence.

Update your website and post information about your game regularly.
Use your social media accounts that are entirely dead, and promote your game.

As it stands there's no point in raising awareness through a competition as no-one can tell your game even exists!

It's never a good idea to ask people to work for free towards what will be a paid title. Other artists are going to get very, very upset about it, even if you do get a few people to bite on it. In general, it's not good to use people. And that's what it's called when you ask them to work for free on something you'll profit from.
