ProBuilder Export?

    Are there any options to export the geometry made in Pro Builder into another format for use with a different application? If so what kind of formats are available?

    I'm sorry if this is something that is obvious within the tool itself, but I don't have the latest version of Unity currently installed on my machine.

    Yes, you can export to Obj, Stl, Ply, and Fbx. Fbx requires the FBX Exporter package to be installed, but the others are included with ProBuilder.

    Hi BoseBatman,
    When exporting you should see a explorer window to choose where you want to export :)

    Make sure to "Probuilderize" the object or probuilder can't export it.

    I tried exporting but the explorer window didn't pop up. Using Unity 2020.

    Which Unity (2020.X.X?) and Probuilder version are you using exactly? I will have a look at this!

    Using Unity 2020.1.2 you should be able to use ProBuilder 4.4.0 which is the verified version for this Unity.
    But this shouldn't impact the export.
    Export should work fine and you should see an explorer window appearing if the object you want to export is a ProBuilder Mesh. If the object is not a PB Mesh then nothing will happen by trying to export and no export window will show up.
    In that case make sure to use the ProBuilderize option before to turn your object into a ProBuilder Mesh and be ready to export it after.

    Thanks, just tested it out again and for some reason it works now, I don't think I touched anything. The verified version shown to me in the package manager is 4.2.3 and the update button is disabled.
    I used ProBuilder to build the mesh.
    I didn't know we can turn any mesh to a pro builder mesh, this is amazing :cool: thanks for telling me about it,

    In case any other human has the same problem. For Unity 2020.2.2f1 and Probuilder 4.5. Unity has changed the workflow. You cannot export a GameObject that hasn’t got ProBuilder MeshFilter. In the case of a parent GameObject, you cannot export anything.

    So, you can do three things to solve it:
    *Create a new common Cube and Probuilderize it (then just disable the Mesh Renderer)
    *Directly create a ProBuilder Cube
    *Create an empty and add the ProBuilder MeshFilter

    Then put all children inside.

    Now, the Export button should be available.

    Dont work, as usual...

    It's impressive...

    Sometimes nothing seems to work in Unity, they make everything look like hell...

    The PROBLEM is: FBX EXPORT in UNITY export UV WRONG...

    REZIZE the UV MAP in Maya or BLENDER...
