Hello everyone, I am new at unity but have gotten myself into a bind,

Like an idiot, I deleted a file and am now getting this error in any program I run on unity...

Required property 'name' not set (Packages/com.unity.ide.rider/Rider/Editor/com.unity.ide.rider.asmdef)

I have since gone to package manager, and uninstalled, then reinstalled, "Rider Editor", no luck.

I have uninstalled unity and reinstalled unity and unity hub, also no luck.

This comes up for any project I have, including new projects i just open.

It is a red warning so i can't play projects on unity with it present.

If i complementary remove rider editor, I still cannot play the project.

...if anyone could help me restore the file and help me get back to learning it would be a huge help.

    Many thanks in advance

    Andrew

I don't recall exactly where it is on Windows, but you might check the equivalent of "/home/mosthated/.config/unity3d/cache/packages", which I believe would be AppData/local or roaming, then Unity? Perhaps the package cache is goofed.
