Question Problems with Model with Transparent Material

    If I add a transparent material to my player mesh it shows up adequately in the editor (game and camera view), but when I run the game it exhibits a strange lava lamp like effect, almost as if the colours have been inverted. The same material works fine on basic primitive shapes. Is there a way to remedy this?

    Alpha blending is not commutative. This means that when used in 3D objects (specially concave ones) and not writing to the depth buffer, you'll get lots of artifacts.

    I'm guessing this is your case, but without taking a look at the "lava lamp effect" you mention it's very hard to tell.

    The model is usually yellow, this is what it looks like with transparency applied.
