Problems with materials in model import

    I have posted a bug (Case 506432) regarding material import in Unity 4, not sure if it was there in 3.5. I have a collada model that looks fine in Max, Blender and Lightwave, but when I import into Unity some of the nodes get their materials messed up. For example, a node has 11 materials, but when imported the 7th one gets dumped 8-11 get moved into the 7-10 slots and the 11th Material is renamed "No Name". I've tried resaving the model as an FBX but there is the same result.

    Has this problem been posted before, I've searched but can't see it, but if anyone has a work round I would be very grateful as we need to go Gold Feb 15th! We have 30 worlds to import and they are all effected!

    Could really use some feedback on this, I have a milestone in 2 weeks that requires these models in correctly!:(

    Can anybody confirm this is a problem?
