I'm going through the learning projects from Unity's own site. Currently working on the survival shooter and this happened

I've tried to clear and rebake the lightmaps with different settings but all of them end up being a variation of this. Smaller Atlas Size for example reduces the size of the dark spots. If I use the LightmapSnapshot asset that is in the project files everything works fine. But the moment I try to bake the lightmap everything goes wrong.

Could you please try clearing the GI Cache in the Preferences window and let me know if the problem persists?

Cleared the GI Cache and built the lightmaps again. Didn't fix the problem.

Hmm, not cool. Looks like you have the same issue. Can you please file a bug report?

I have this as well. I got it from randomly changing some lighting settings to see what happened. When I reverted the changes the artifacts remained. Although I did bake the scene once, I cleared the cache and deleted the lightmaps but it doesn't do anything.

EDIT: I comes from the soft shadows. If you increase the quality or change it to hard shadows then it works fine :)

    Hi,
I am new to Unity, I got the same issue when doing that Survival Shooter tutorial. The very second the cache and lightmaps were rebuilt the artifacts were back. Sometimes its even completely black, like no light is computed at all. Tried all kinds of shadow settings without any result.
I made a new project with the same imported assets but used the "_CompletedAssets" instead of my own scene and scripts.
This project does not automatically start building cache and lightmaps when I clear the cache and the completed game is free of artifacts.
Does this mean I'm using lightmaps created in 4.6 or whatever the tutorial was created in?

Same problem here, during the survival shooter tutorial. Funny thing is, if I build the game, it runs fine without any artifacts

I had an problem that looked just like this, and the Solution was to turn on "Generate Lightmap UV" on the imported models. Maybe you wanna check if that is the problem.

I have the same problem with all my scenes and "Generate Lightmap UV" doesn't fix the issue. I'm using 5.2.2 version.
