It had been discussed in an earlier thread that the Unity logo that is displayed while a Unity web applet loads will be problematic in selling corporate clients on using Unity in for-hire work.

I just upgraded to Pro and noticed that the logo is still displayed by default. Is there a way to circumvent it? And if not, is such an option planned?

The loading splash screen and progress bar graphics will be replaceable at the same time as we release the Windows Web Player.

We are currently evaluating if this will require a seperate per project license or if it will simply be available in the Pro version.
We will soon be perform an online survey, which among other things will help us in deciding if a seperate license will be required or not.

    Gotcha.

It might be nice if licensees who have to display the logo at least have the ability to incorporate it into their porject, rather than having to display it during load.

For instance, perhaps you could require that the logo be displayed "for 4 seconds, unaltered, at 192x160 pixels, in a prominent place ..." or something like that. That would give us the flexibility to incorporate it in into our projects less dominantly. As it is, the Unity logo will appear before any other branding, which would imply for many audience members that they are viewing content made/sponsored by Unity. Obviously, not a good thing.

Ohhohh this sounds bad...*alarm bells are ringing*

I hope this won't just be a radio button survey.

Yup, I know. The survey is a radio button-based one so everyone else can tell us what they think ;)

You can answer it anyway if you want to... it's going out to the announce list RSN.

Well, as you know this wasn't meant against a democratic selection but you know where my concerns are in this field. I'm curious about which options will show up there in the end. By the way: Will you also make a survey about if ogre should be built into unity? You know what i mean?! *rhetorical question*
