Preview animation on multiple objects while animating?

    I've been trying to find out if it's possible to animate one object in unity and have multiple instances preview that animation as I animate (sort of a kaleidoscope effect). If I animate a prefab, the rest of the instances do not update as I create the animation in the editor.

    Any thoughts? Any way to do this in Unity?

    My current solution is to animate the object in 3ds max or blender where it's possible to preview the animation on multiple object instances, then import it into Unity.
