    Hi,

I would like to import some 3D models, made in Solidworks, into Unity. I tried exporting to all the different acceptable formats and I am able to impor them in unity, but the origin of the original file changes. I would like to use the origin of the original file as (0,0,0). I need this for a script that moves and scales the object.

Any idea the origin of my imported 3D models differs from the model I made in SW?

    Cheers

It should keep the origin. Is your transform set to use origin or centre? Its the little option at the top.

Hi Karl, that indeed was one of the problems :) I fixed it. Thanks anyway.
