Prefab model broken after reimport from 3ds max

    I'm attaching a few screenshots to help illustrate my problem.

    HOWEVER! Model itself is completely fine. In fact, here are both in game:

    After reimport, the model can play the same animations and use the same animation controller, but the prefab remains broken. I export to fbx as I usually do, and never before have I had any problems with custom models. The model itself comes from the asset store, and I need to chop it up to create additional armours (it uses textures for most armours), and give it meshblend. At the moment though I just want the thing to work :)

    Have any of you ever seen such artefacts? Any help would be appreciated.
