Hello Unity community, here is question I could do with some help with because it drives me INSANE!!! and I've asked around often in different places but never ever can find out the answer.

Pre caching images especially for mobile devices where having images in memory can be impossible because you may have a few gigabytes worth of images but you can't load on demand since there will be obvious delays/lag.

How is this performed? especially in Unity? I have a ton of images for my project and it's targeting Android devices so right now I am enforcing a load on demand scenario but you obviously find lag during it so I need to learn about pre caching badly.

    Thank you.

Load the images you will need 'off screen' at an appropriate load point.

Would making a loading scene then using resources.load to load all the images behind a menu background work?
