    Hey everyone,

This is a game I have been working on for a few months.

It has gone through many iterations, and even completely changed a few times. But as of right now, this very second its a minimalistic, flow based game about departure and change. I left the title blank because I'm still not sure what it will be called...

    Currently it's called RYFT.

Below is look at some of the AI I created today that dynamically avoids obstacles. (ignore the blue guy and slightly reddish guy trailing everyone, they are whack)

If you want to follow along with development, I will be posting more in-depth technical thoughts on a blog soon to be revived and posting updates on twitter.

There has been lots of thought and constantly morphing ideas leading up to this point, I will be posting more about the abandoned ideas and why they were abandoned because I always think it's interesting and helpful when other developers show their ideas that didn't quite make it.

Also there will be lots of scrapped art posted here, picking out the right theme and style for this game (that complement the mechanic) has been quite a challenge.

    Thanks for stopping by!

Really enjoying the minimalism! I'm working on a minimalist style game right now and it's so hard to find the perfect amount of minimalism

That writeup on your blog was really interesting. I hope you'll do more of those in the future. :)

    Updates!

After sitting on this project for a few months I came back to the original idea of a skiing/snowboarding game. This was the original concept for the game and was the most natural fit for the control style.

I trimmed some of the features (for now) in order to get the game out there. I pulled a few late nights and added new graphics, unlockable character w/ physics, better menu UI, Gamecenter integration, and adjusted the difficultly.

There are definitely some bugs. Overall I would consider this a Beta version, I just wanted to release it to get people playing it as soon as I could.

An update will be out in a few days that fixes alot of those bugs. Thanks for checking it out! Any feedback would really helpful :)

    Hey guys!

I thought it would be good to post an update here. A lot of things happened since Jan 6th!

We got featured by Apple in a few different counties (Not the US) and Powder has gotten over 200k downloads!

I wrote a blog post about the launch
    http://thewaterbear.com/powder-released/

and put up and landing page for the game
    http://www.freshpowder.co/

Next up is fixing bugs, porting over to Android, adding new features, and even making a desktop version w/ gamepad support!
