Alright, this is weird, it it just sort of happened, I don't know why.
I'm getting two errors, which are:

Library\PackageCache\com.unity.postprocessing@2.0.3-preview\PostProcessing\Runtime\PostProcessManager.ce(424, 66): error SC0117: 'EditorSceneManager' does not contain a definition for 'IsGameObjectInScene'

Library\PackageCache\com.unity.postprocessing@2.0.3-preview\PostProcessing\Runtime\PostProcessManager.ce(425, 66): error SC0117: 'EditorSceneManager' does not contain a definition for 'IsGameObjectInMainScenes'

And so I checked, and it seems like I don't have this package on my pc, I have postprocessing@2.0.15

And I tried to import Unity's Post Processing pack from the asset store, but nothing new.

Same here. happened right after I imported the free Unity Particle pack. Free but coming with plenty of serious issues.

Same here. To fix this, you can delete path/to/game//Library/PackageCache/ the post processing folder

For me, updating the "Post Processing" package to the verified version in the package manager fixed it.

I suggest to update the Post Processing instead of deleting it. To update just go to Window > Package Manager and switch the view from In Project to All. Select Postprocessing in the list. Then update it the latest version.

Dude, thanks! I had the exact same issue. This needs to be spread farther for everyone who didn't update to the latest version of Unity like Azmalbator said above. Once everyone updates and Unity gets the kinks out, this whole thing will likely be irrelevant, but it's a nice thing to know how to fix.

Open unity look at the top left and click on "window" then click on "package manager" then look at the top left of the menu and click on "my assets" and change it to "in project" then click on "postprocessing" and look at the bottom right of the menu and click "update".

in unity engine, Window / PackageManager / choose Unity Registry package and write in search button "Post Processing" and update
