Hello, I'm rather new to the Unity forums so please forgive my ignorance, however i can't afford patience with my question. I attempted to post a question on the site and up came a yellow bar with the message 'This post is currently awaiting moderation. If you believe this to be in error, contact a system administrator.' People have posted questions and received answers in the time I have been waiting for 'moderation', I have to finish my Unity project by Wednesday (part of Uni work) and I'm guessing it's some sort of glitch, does anybody have any suggestions/help? Thanks Chaps

Are you referring to the forums? Or to Unity Answers? Because the latter requires 15 karma to no longer need moderation.

Last I knew the only sections requiring moderation for the forums were the collaboration sections.

I'd say if you're depending on Unity forums to do your Uni work you've made a mistake and you'd better go look at that documentation and tutorial videos that come with Unity and the Unity Learn and Getting Started sections.

Sorry let me reword that, I have to get it done by wednesday because I have a Uni assignment then and alas, work here doesn't really allow time for side projects. Good suggestion though, I'll have a skim through the tutorial section. Thank you both

Unity's documentation isn't always the most helpful source of information and the tutorials are often out of date. I don't know how long a Unity class normally lasts but we are nearing the end of a semester. It's possible he's working on a complex project and needs assistance beyond the basics.

You're basically right on the money there, I try to brush up on Unity centred code to help bolster practice relative to course work, (unorthodox but surprisingly effective). The tutorial section must have something of use I'm sure. Thank you for letting me know about the required karma level though, that's saved me a lot of time

I stop reading anything or using any program as soon as it's not 100% up to date. Or when I find grammatical errors or spelling mistakes.

Therefore I do nothing but make excuses. Not gonna work, not if your professors where like mine or just about anybody else's either. They'll just fail you. Well, unless you are there on a major sports scholarship.

If you're implying St Hugh's professors are substandard that's hardly fair. I'd refer you to my last post, I use unity to brush up on coding and of course I am not being graded on a Unity project. We have sufficient study material here that Unity forums aren't really standard use.

I normally post both on stack overflow and unity answers. Stack overflow = faster response timer, Unity answers = more responses, atleast from my experience.

I've been noticing that the Mod queue is constantly near >100 posts. I've been trying to clean it out daily, but often it gets difficult.

In order to help moderators, new users should read the guide before posting as having to constantly refer users to other posts, convert answers into comments, convert comments into answers, translate languages in Google Translate, ask users for more information, etc. quickly becomes tedious, slow, and frustrating. Please take take to follow the posting rules before posting, it is greatly appreciated.

PS: Not directed at anyone in specific; simply a statement of how long queue times could be easily cut down.
