Possible to hide the pick/visibility gutter in the Hierarchy panel?

I rarely if ever use the hide/pickable features in the hierarchy view, and even using 2 monitors I find that screen space is at a premium. I'd like to disable/hide that gutter to give myself some extra space, but for the life of me I cannot find an option to do that anywhere. Even looking at custom hierarchy scripts, they only seem to let me edit the individual members in the hierarchy, and not the window itself.

Short of building a new panel from scratch (nope!) is there any way to get those pixels of screen space back?
