Till now games for Virtual Reality on Android are really bad.Only cheap short demo with awful graphics.
Don't understand why but if you try Shadowgun VR which is the only high quality graphics demo. You will find out is totally another story you feel totally immersed in a really cool 3D game. The only problem is not a complete game but just a demo of 1 level and you can't even play...
Just walking around in this amazing enviroment...
Do you think is hard for a developer to port fulls existing working games like Shadowgun, Nova 3, Modern Combat 5 ready to play with a bluetooth controller and a VR headset cardboard style ?

Yes, with time and effort. It's mostly a matter of making it possible to control existing stuff with your head and a magnet...

There should be plenty of cardboard apps coming soon, some might be good :p

With a joypad is really easy to play you need to use bluetooth controller for shooting and walking forward back right left and you use gyroscope for turning around(this shoould be an option you can disable and use with joypad if you can't move while you are playing)...
But controls are the less difficult part...I played first person shooters with my HMD VR with ppsspp emulator.

I ask you if is difficult to convert regular fps on android like nova 3 in stereo graphics 3D as some one did with Shadowgun VR ? And not just split the screen in two cause this way you miss the 3D effect we need...

Yes it is dificult, it would require a lot of time and effort to do it right. There is a lot to be done differently for a pleasant VR-Experience than in classic FPS. For instance a very high framerate.

Another Big Point is the All-For-Free-Mentality especially on Android, you cant even have Ad's or IAP's with Cardboard. Porting or even publishing more than a Demo is not worth the effort atm.

Have you ever tried Shadowgun VR ? Seems is not so hard to do... I wonder why if a simple nerd was able to port 1 level from an existing Android game software house don't give a try to port entire games ?
Don't know the framerate but for what i see Shadowgun VR is extremely enjoyable and it has an amazing graphics compared to the others crappy old style VR games available on the Play Store.
Even simple native SBS for android app just for rooted androids is able to provide you a nice VR experience...

I would suggest you to use the PPSSPP emulator to play high end games like God of War, Dragon Ball Z,, there is no game better then this. You just need to make sure to configure your PPSSPP Emulator for best performance using these PPSSPP Settings.
