    Hey i am wondering what a good polycount for an average soldier for an fps is?
    i found one on turbo squid that had 4,406 polygons would that work out for a game?

    that includes a gun with 679 polygons attached.

    thanks, but i decided on a new model, here are the specs

    Geometry: Polygonal
    Polygons: 6,752
    Vertices: 6,443
    Textures: Yes
    Materials: Yes

    Polycount by itself should not be a main issue nowadays, with modern graphic cards
    The point is the (ab)use of shaders
