    An upcoming upgrade may require you to do a minor or major upgrade to your Unity projects.

    The supported Editor versions of the upcoming upgrade are:
    • 2019.4.29f1
    • 2020.3.15f1
    • 2021.1.15f1
    • 2021.2.0b6
    • 2022.1.0a4

    Major upgrades are a lottery in terms of what may or may not break. Last time we upgraded from 2017.4 to 2019.2 and it took months of work in retrospective, because we had to perform additional optimizations because there was a significant loss in performance.
