Png animation on 2D ui elements? (WebGL)

    I have searched a lot on this forum and on google but I can't find a clear answer.
    I know how to place a sprite animation on a 3d plane but I want it to be on a 2D UI Image or button.
    How can I do this? Maybe it is good to know that I publish it for WebGl.

    Hope someone can help.
