Plugin for WiFi connection to Arduino

Hey guys,
I don't know which forum this belongs to, so I posted it here.

We are trying to control a drone using an Android app made from Unity. The drone will be running an Arduino. First, we wanted to use a Bluetooth module, but since it's range is smaller, we thought of using WiFi, over Bluetooth. There is this awesome plug in called NativeBT,which allows Bluetooth serial communication from Android to Arduino. Wanted to ask if there are any similar plug ins for WiFi too? We don't want to use a shield for the Arduino, but a WiFi module(ESP8266 and the like.)
