I run multiple versions of Unity for different projects. Could you please put the build information on the splash screen?

Good idea especially with the myriad of beta builds, Graphics, Unet, 2D, Daydream etc.

Probably better as an option with a string that replaces with certain information so you can control new lines, font, colour etc.

I wouldn't want it as default, but as NathanHold said, it would be a nice option. Although it wouldn't be much use for me as the splash screen is only up for a few seconds.

Which splash screen are we talking about? The editor's or the game build?

In the editor you just need to set it so it doesn't open a project automatically when launching Unity. The project selection screen contains information about the build version (on Mac at least, I assume the same on Windows).

Put it on the icon itself!

Hi. I have made a note of the suggestion for consideration. For the moment I would suggest doing what Thrawn75 suggests and put it in the logo.

While they're at it they should make the start menu shortcut have the editor build too. I've got like 6 'Unity' shortcuts with different versions installed.

You can just rename the shortcut that gets created when you install. ;)
    This is mine

It would be nice to have the name though. Maybe add it as a suggestion, i'll give it a vote!
