    Alt + Tabbing

    or

    Command + Tabbing

between versions shouldn't be like this. Please make slightly unique icons for each version:

    2022.LTS
    2023.1
    2023.2

If you used Unity, at Unity, you'd know that this is a problem, as we have to progressively "upgrade" our projects, with more than one open, so we can cross reference what's working and not working, as we "upgrade".

    Thank you.

PS no, not using the Hub. Please don't make me ever use it.

No one is forcing you. But if it's your job to be a developer, professional attitude mandates you to stay up to date with tech. Thus be professional about it, stop complaining, and adapt.

The Hub is literally the place within Unity tech you'll spend the least time in, and it provides you access to all your projects and editor versions in a single spot. If you were using it, you'd know that the Hub wouldn't solve your request.

To be helpful: you can change the icons yourself! Here, I changed it to the GOG icon ...

Is there an equivalent on Mac?

EDIT: found how to do it on a Mac. Will get to it in a couple of days, and upload an array of variants for others to use.

btw. Don't agree with your sentiments about "progress". it's perfectly acceptable to criticise any and all attempts at progress that are missteps or otherwise regressions in usability. The Hub, on a Mac, is both a range of regressions and missteps, and incredibly unreliable, too.
