I just got unity and made my first game ever, (mac). I decided to rename my folder which contains the project and was on my desktop, but then i got the Fatal error message and my unity closed. When i opened the project again everything i made was gone... Please help?!

Navigate to the renamed directory, and open your saved scene.

Worst case scenario you make a new project and copy the assets folder into the new project.

Already tried both of these. Nothing... I don't really get it, all i did was rename the map with the project, and then i got the fatal error and now the project is still there but when i open it everything is gone?

So the folder that contained the project was on the desktop. The assets should all still be in there. They are, right?

And what do you mean by "everything is gone"? Is your Project tab empty, or only your Hierarchy?

The latter would probably mean nothing more than Unity has not opened any scene, and instead is showing you a new untitled scene. That's no big deal; just double-click the scene in the Project list, and Bob's your uncle.
