As far as I know it´s always good to convert your movie to ogg-vorbis format.
Anyone please correct me if I´m wrong.

Mathewsbabu: are you using Pro or Free?

I think he means the next level up where you can buy for another cost iOS Specific optimisation for iOS and I think another cost for Android.

I may be wrong but my understanding is you Pay for Unity PRO. Then there is another tier where you pay for some more super duper iOS Unity abilities by purchasing that Add on to Unity. The same for Android last time I looked.

Yep I just checked Add On's for unity PRO you need iOS PRO. At an extra + $1,875 or + $94/month then again for Android.

    https://store.unity3d.com/

It seems to have gone up from the last time I checked.

With UNITY PRO you can :-

1 Streaming from the net is not supported on iOS devices.
2 Video playback can only occur fullscreen on iOS and Android devices, playback as a texture on a surface is not supported.

With the UNITY PRO + IOS ADD ON

1 Streaming from the net is not supported on iOS devices.
2 Video playback can only occur fullscreen on iOS and Android devices, playback as a texture on a surface is not supported.

So UNITY PRO is all you need for a full screen video.

I just checked the license comparisons and their annotations at the bottom ( The 1,2 points I posted above).

So you should be able to play a fullscreen video on iOS with just Unity PRO.

    PS.

If your video takes up too much space maybe you could set up a cool scene and play a sequence of animations. That's what I did with my one with a cool soundtrack and some sound effects.
