Playing animation relative to current object orientation?

    Hi,

    Is there any possibility to play an animation made with the dopesheet relative to current character orientation?.

    An example, I have a palmtree that moves its leaves. This animation is created with the palmtree trunk totally straight up. If I rotate the trunk 45 degrees and play the animation the palmtree resets (playing first key in animation) and animation plays. Is there any way to play that animation keeping the rotation in the scene?
