I'e been testing a few games out under X session in Debian 9.
I'll run a command from the terminal
    sudo xinit 'name_of _game.x86_64' -- :2
The game will open up an x session and launch the game, however.

---- Issues that occur during an X Session ----
The pointer disappears if one is not programmed in. (Always)
The game may freeze up on the title screen. (Depends on the game)
If a gamepad is connected, it may not be responsive. (Most of the time / Depends on the game)
The keyboard may not respond as well. (Depends on the game).

Running the game normally from my desktop, I don't face these any of these issues.
If anyone can put some light on my situation, I would greatly appreciate it.
