Question Playing 5.1 audio out of Unity via audio interface (2021.7.1f1)

    I cannot figure out how to get 5.1 audio playing out of Unity. This seems like pretty basic functionality. I have a Focusrite Scarlett hooked up to a multichannel speaker array, and have set the Audio manager speaker mode to 5.1 surround in Unity. When I play back, it only plays back in stereo. I am on Windows 10 and my audio device is set to play multichannel in the OS.

    Is there something I am doing wrong? I would have thought it would just 'work'.

    Hi. We currently have a bug regarding 5.1 speaker mode on Windows, so we are aware of the issue. You can try to set it to Surround only and not Surround 5.1 Skærmbillede 2022-02-24 kl. 09.51.43.png
