Player model from top down pixel games

I;m wondering what kinda of model is most usefull and good looking for top down movments for player(model type syzes)
Is it ?
A)1 : 1 model type (like square) 20x20 pixels exaple
B)1 : 1.5 model type (like issac or margonem) 20 x 30 pixels exaple
C) 1 : 2 model type ( like basic one that for exaple look big but only take 1 space not 2 and top is part of model is no;t hitable) 20x40 pixels exaple
Honestly I was wondering becouse lately ther has been appearance of of mix betwen all of them soo maybe
and they all have different opinion soo i kinda want suggestion witch one is best in gamplay and overall
(im making top down rouge like multyplayer)
