Player character layout

    Hi.

    While building up my Player-Character, I added many empties for different reasons (mostly to keep the hierarchy in order). It begins with a player-space (similar to the worldspace), both with many child-empties for object parenting and positioning. More for different soundtypes (backgroundmusic, inventorysounds, actionsounds, etc), an backpack droppoint for inventory action visualisation, amm...

    Does someone knows a better way for positioning objects like them? In time, I've a confusing overloaded empty-jungle. Just for the player I've now 218 empties and childs for different actions of limb-movement and equipment positioning, and that with only two animated weapons, some soundsources for different actions, and an inventory.

    How are programmer/professional games solve this things? Thx.
