Play Mode Lagging on Mac

    Hi, so I'm new to these forums so excuse my inexperience,

    I'm going to keep this short but when I am in play mode on Mac, my game keeps lagging (Occasionally at 60fps but stutters down to around 20-30fps every second), it's unusable and there's nothing I can do to stop it. Turning on vSync seemed to do the job okay on older versions but now it's gotten worse.

    The MacBook that I'm using is a MacBook Pro Late 2012

    I've tried 2020.1.0a14 and 2019.2.17f1, and they both seem to have this problem.
