Howdy folks, just thought I'd announce my new asset. This is a cut down but still very full-featured version of Platformer PRO aimed at people who want to build simpler games or just check out Platformer PRO without paying the full price.

    Full Details

Platformer PRO - LE is the Lite Edition of the powerful Platformer PRO platform game kit.

LE is a complete kit providing everything you need to build your game.

    Whats Included

LE contains the same highly-rated core platforming engine as the full version and it still includes full source.

LE includes multiple options for walking, running, jumping, double jumping, wall cling and slide, crouching, shooting, moving platforms and more. Its the same flexible pluggable movement system that drives the full version.

LE has full slope support for both rotating and non-rotating characters.

LE includes most of the systems from Platformer PRO:
    • UI driven event system for adding effects
    • Platform and trigger system with moving platforms, conveyers, springboards and more
    • In game configurable inputs
    • Items and Power-Ups

    Whats Different

LE includes a simplified set of enemy examples, does not contain melee and combo attacks, and does not include advanced movements like: Ledge Climb, 360 Loops, Grappling Hook, Curve Driven Movement, Ropes, Stair Climbing, and Mecanim Driven Movement.

If you want these advanced features you can seamlessly upgrade to the full version, and you purchase price counts 100% towards the cost of the full version.

Congrats on the release. This is a great idea! The cost of entry for the full version might be too steep for a lot of people so this is a great way for them to get their foot in the door.

I already have the full version but I'll grab this one later just because it's that awesome.

I can highly recommend this for anyone looking for a platforming kit. I also spent a week using the leading competiting product and I must admit that while their presentation and packaging was much more shiny and appealing, this kit is more feature rich and extensible, the developer is much more approachable and visibly looks like he enjoys working on this. Just check out the videos here. Also, the developer actively talks to and listens to users and keeps adding excellent features, such as an upcoming, more advanced enemy system.

    Just my two cents. ;)

Bumpies. Although I appreciate people buying the full version LE is definitely worth checking out. Its feature set is on par or above with most of the other platform kits in the store :)

Plus its a seamless upgrade to full version if you do need to do cool stuff like 360 loops, ledge climbing or stair-walking.

Ok, that makes sense. I was more curious than anything.
