Bug Plastic SCM Unable to Checkin Changes

    I was trying to check in some changes to my unity project but I keep getting this error.

    I tried looking at the server log for a way to resolve this but I can't find it. I also updated to the latest version of Plastic SCM 1.17.7.

    Should I be using the Unity Devops now or can I stay with Plastic SCM?

    Hi,

    What is your Plastic SCM standalone version and Unity plugin version?

    Do you have configured permissions/path permissions in this repo?

    Could you open a ticket at devops-vcs-support@unity3d.com and share with us your logs?
    C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\plastic4\logs

    My plastic standalone version is 10.0.16.6419 (this is from the Plastic SCM application).
    My unity version is 2021.3.12f Personal.
    The version of Plastic via the unity package manager is 1.17.7.

    I don't know exactly how to configure permissions/path permissions for the repo, I used
    to be able to do commit changes before I don't know what happened.

    I have opened a ticket provided by the link you attached.

    Also I tested with another project and I was able to commit changes. So, it is only an issue with that certain project however that is my main project I am working on so it is disappointing it is happening.

    Hi,

    Could you upgrade the Plastic SCM version and the plugin to the latest version?
    I think you are affected by a bug we fixed some time ago.

    I upgraded the Plastic SCM version to 11.0.16.7881 and for the plugin how do I update that? Do I do that via the Unity Package Manager or is there another way to update it. Alas I still have the same issue.

    I tried commiting a new change in the unity editor and in the plastic scm app but I got the same error as before.

    Can you please let me know if the below workaround alleviates the problem for you?
    1. Shelve your pending changes.
    2. Undo the changes in the workspace and update it to the head of the branch.
    3. Apply the shelve and check in the changes.
    If the issue happens again after the upgrade, please open a ticket at devops-vcs-support@unity3d.com. We would like to debug it.

    Don't you see a more recent plugin version in the package manager?
