    Hi

With the new input system coming out "soon" with Unity 2019.3 as I read it, what are the plans to update the Standard Assets FirstPersonController?

AFAIK there's no plans to update the old Standard Assets to use the new input system. From what I know (and that may be entirely incorrect/obsolete/distorted), the old Standard Assets are on the path to retirement.

There is a new "Standard Assets Character" package in development that includes first-person and third-person controllers and which uses the new input system.

Ok, thats interesting - I didn't knew about this new package :)

I just use the FirstPersonController from the old one right now in my game as I'm still prototyping. I might keep it and I might switch to another, who knows.

I will at least follow this one from now :)
