Awesome list elmar. Im no coder but I really appreciate and devour as much quality instructional material as possible related to Unity game development.
Any lighting and shadow tips and best practice you can provide for different game genres would be a great addition to the list you have already compiled.

Sidewalk is nice, but IMO you should use something clean and easy to navigate, like something similar to the theme used by Unity Blogs.

    Thanks for the input!

Unlike Unity's blog that shows only unity related news, I am planning to have different topics to talk about and so my website is going to have a front page which showcases different categories and lists. I feel that Sidewalk fits the most.
Note that I can always customize which type of content to show.

Just need how to make an inventory and RPG elements and it's just about right! ;)

I think so too. Plus second theme supports reviews, which would be pretty convenient for Asset Store/Game reviews! :D

    Hello everyone!

Wordpress is ready and first post has been created!

Check it out here! - How to prepare your project for version control - Butbucket and SourceTree

(Note: website is not done yet. Some components may not make any sense. Theme is to be changed).

Honest review on the article. Was it helpful? Any grammar mistakes or typos?

Old posts you see has been transferred from my old blog.

    Few announcements to make:

    - You can now submit your app/asset to be reviewed on my blog! See here!
    - If someone didn't watch today's Unite 2015 Boston Keynote, I've written a recap here
    - Wordpress theme will be changed to the one which was originally planned (hope it will be in a few days)
    - I've been writing few posts lately as well, be sure to check them out as well :)

    That's it for now! :D

After weeks of work, I am introducing a new website layout!

It's now easier to navigate around than before.

I will be posting an article on a weekly basis now, as they usually take a lot of time to write and research.

    Enjoy! :D

You could also allow user-submitted articles/tutorials (with a review process so you won't get crap). This will make site feel more alive as content could be added faster if it'd be written by multiple people ;).

If people are reading your blog, they're most likely devs themselves. So recruit from them. Also here in this thread, make it so people with article written could PM you here for publishing their stuff.

Good idea. I decided to create a thread in the collaboration section (still in approval process) to find anyone who has experience with anything related to game dev.

PM key users on the forums. You'll find many will be flattered to write an article about something they know.

    Sure, I'm flattered.

Anything you want me to write about? I can speak to the struggles of internet forum addiction :)

Hey elmar - Do you have any interest in writing a best practice for back-up/archive asset packages, purchased and free, once they are on your local system.
I've read a couple posts that are informative for this process, but incomplete in instruction.
It would be great to have a guide for this.
Also looking forward to the above listed tutorials.

Edit: Was also wondering if you would consider a tutorial on PC development then moving to final build process using Xcode (previous version) and the new Xcode 7. There might be enough instruction on this topic already, but thought you might be interested since I haven't seen any info on Xcode7 yet.

I am not sure about the topic. Why would this be used if purchased/free assets are tied to your account. Like Steam games.

Will gladly write about them. :)

Good point. Only considering this for back-up purposes for assets that are updated and have different features.
Rethinking - this is probably a personal preference rather than a common workflow.

    Thanks elmar.

It's been almost a month and so far so good! :D

Give me a feedback of my blog on content, layout and pretty much anything else.

Remember you can request a topic so it will be added to the Blogmap page.

    Thanks in advance! :)
