Pixel art advice and feedback

Hi all,

Does anyone know where would be the best place on these forums to try and get some help/critiques for a newbie trying to make some pixel art characters? Or if there's an external site where I'd be able to get some help?

I'm terrible at art, and I need to understand why I'm looking at what I've done and am disappointed in it (whether it's because my proportions are off, the colour palette is wrong, or if it's too detailed for the pixel size and I need to simplify or scale up).

Where would be best to get that sort of broad brush theory help?
