    Hello community,

My name is John Eriksson and I just wanted to share a video clip showing my current game project, Piki Piki.

Even though I've cerated games using other tools before, this is my very first Unity project and so far it has been a really enjoyable experience. :)

To create the levels I'm using the splendid Ferr2D Terrain Tool-plugin. Thanks @koujaku! :)

The game is quite hard to master and hedgehog is just as annoying as the game can be frustrating. Muhaha!

Feel free to comment and have a nice day! :)

The plan is to release Piki Piki as a free game with in-app purchase. It will be possible to complete the entire game without buying anything but if you want, you can unlock chapters without having to collect enough achievements.

Do any of you have any experience with that kind of business model? Does it work? Whats your thoughts?

i really dig the concept of the game! thumbs up for that, a farting hedgehog :D
Something i despise though, is the business model you intend? to carry out, like thats just whats wrong with mobile games these days. I can see its a way to get some cash if people wanna skip ahead, but it just destroys the game in a way, i bet you put alot of hours into it, why dont you want your players to have the full experience? And just sell it for like like a buck or something instead, like 1 or 2 dollar, or 10 if u want to. Games should be games and not a dedicated money machine, if that arguement makes sense.
Yea.. Sorry i just had to vent some air

I don't have my audio switched on, but I hope you have a wide array of fart sounds.

Bob, I couldn't agree more! :) But the bitter truth is that if you can't spend a lot of mony on advertising most people wont even try your game even if it's really cheap.

If it's free, it's more likely that players will give it a try. And then maybe they show it to a friend or write about it in a blog post. :)

And I don't like the idea of having a free and a pro version either. :)

    Just like Piki-Piki

Game looks smooth, I don't have a problem with the business model. I prefer short demo with an optional set purchase rate for the full game, but I understand the free with IAP availability - as long as there is nothing behind a pay wall that non paying players can't access.

Piki Piki will be possible to complete without paying anything.

Although my sons keep telling me that there should be purchasable hats in the game. HAHA! Now, that would at least make the game a little more silly. :)

My biggest concern right now is that the game is to tough to complete, but that may of course be a selling point as well. I guess the beta-testing will give me some answers on the learning curve. :)

Looks interesting. I'll have to try it out.
As for the business model, that's a tricky question. Maybe paid extra levels like DLC type stuff or cosmetic changes, but altering the fundamental completion and storyline process feels kind of cheap. It's like writing a book and then having people pay you and you just go, "Ok. So here's how it ends." Cool ending, but they don't appreciate the story.
