Hello, I am testing massive objects collisions system in two differents computers, one is a msi laptop with intel i7 7700, and the other one has Intel Xeon gold 5118 (I attach the link below to see to comparision between both). This latter has 23 CPU and the performance is worse than the msi laptom (1 CPU). Unity frames rate decrease until 0,7 fps, but only using 15% of CPU.

I would like to know why the performance is bad in the muliCPU computer.
Has Unity allow to uses multicore physics?
    What can I do?

    Thaks in advance.

    Regards

Which Unity are u using and what OS?
    Btw. link is broken.
I know from experimenting, PhysX on 2018.x uses multi core.

Do you mean for Xeon gold 5118, 24 threads and 12 cores, not 23 cpus?

    Hello.

I am not sure it there are Core or CPU, in tasks manager/ detail/ processor affinity is written 23 CPU.

I have tasted Unity 2017. 2.0 and 2018.2.5 and both have the same results. The OS is Windows 10.
I really dont know what happens. I ll really appreciate your help.

Please post a bug report, using Help->Report a Bug inside Unity. It will send the project to Unity and they will take a look, and give you a case number.

There is nothing people on forum can do about something like that.

What about CPU0? You can not discard it:)
CPUs are normally in even number, unless single core.

Since Xeon is specific series of processors, I would be interested, if is treated differently than other consumer CPUs.

Locking this now - please post a bug report if the problem persists as it's one of those things that does in fact, need a bug report.
