Question Physics authoring components

    Will they have real icons in the final release? Also will we have joint authoring components or will they forever be github only examples?

    The idea is to be able to use the legacy PhysX authoring components with feature parity with Unity Physics which can run as a backend physics simulation when gameobjects are placed inside the subsene.

    Interesting, does this mean the PhysicsShape/BodyAuthoring components are going to be deprecated? How would feature disparities(collisionfilter etc) be translated into the physx component? Also could we see some improvements to the joint authoring anchor gizmos(or have that passed to the physx team) because they are quite frankly terribly hard to read visually.

    We have found multiple elements of the PhysicsShape/BodyAuthoring components that are enjoyed by our users and multiple elements of the PhysX authoring components that can be improved. Ultimately, we hope to bring these observations back into a single consolidated Physics authoring experience across both GameObjects and ECS. We're very early in this process and a lot of technical details are still TBD. We'll learn more as we explore these themes in the upcoming year.

    But still official should provide auto upgrade path for PhysicsShape/PhysicsBodyAuthoring components when introducing new kind of single consolidated component in future since most of the ecs ady using these components.
