    Hi,

    does anyone know how to add more than the default en-US language to the dev.windows.com dashboard for a Phone 8.1 app?

    To make new locales show up in the dashboard, it needs to be part of the uploaded .appxupload package. But when I open the Package.appmanifest in Visual Studio, there is no way to add more languages.

    I have also tried to edit the file and add languages in the XML directly, but it makes absolutely no difference - they are not seen by the windows dashboard after uploading the new build.

    <Resources>
    <Resource Language="en-US" />
    <Resource Language="nb-NO" />
    <Resource Language="es-ES" />
    <Resource Language="ja-JP" />
    </Resources>

    A bit frustrated with this, does anyone have some insight to share?

    It worked like described in that blog post. The exact steps I took was:

    1) Add Strings folder to the root of the built project in Visual Studio
    2) Add folders for each language I wanted to localize in the Dashboard (en-US, ja-JP, zn-CH etc)
    3) In each folder, add a resource file (.resw) named Resources.resw
    4) In each of the Resources.resw I wrote a character in the first line
    5) Build
    6) Associate with Windows Store
    7) Create App Package
    8) Upload App Package

    After that, I finally got the possibility to add localizations in the Store. Might be able to skip a step or two, but I tried several uploads without getting localizations available, and this is what worked for me.

    ...and now we're waiting for Certification and expect to have our first Windows Store app published in a few hours time! :)
