Hey best of luck in your retirement and success in your future endeavors. You should pop in these forums at least once per week just to knock some sense into people and get a laugh.

Oh I disagree. We all need to hear it from time to time.

 

Yeah it is a shame, i would never dream of harrassing the developer(s) of a game, even long before I became a developer myself. I think it'ss the fact that these people can hide behind their keyboard and most of the time they're not held accountable for the stress and other things they may cause.

 

It's rubbish that you're leaving. I think perhaps you might get the bug back again after a break.

 

Honestly, I hope I don't. After I finished each of the past three games I told myself that was it and I was done. Then I thought it was too much fun and the money was too good and making games in my chosen niche was too easy and I jumped right back in, only to regret it every single time right after I released the games.

I just really, really, want to do something else with my life now, and I think this is actually when I'll do it. The third time was the charm I suppose. My daughter is off to college soon and she's the last to leave the house, so life will most definitely be changing around here. I think now is a good time for me to change with it.

 

However bad Peter is, I dont think the interviewer was fair at all here

No no, not an "I'm leaving the forum" thread, an "I'm heading onto my next big thing" thread. Celebration of what you've done and for whatever your new adventure will be. It's not about leaving, it's about moving forward.

 

Wow, I just read on, yeh this isnt on. They tore him to shreds and really did dig too deep into him. However bad a developer you think he is, this isnt on

 

I will certainly miss you around here, Ony. Sometimes, you were the only reason I kept on posting! Funny, you are leaving and I am getting started, both with college age kids.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do next. I hope you have as much fun as I am having with my new "career". Thanks for all the support on the forums and the great posts, that almost always made me laugh...or think. Both good things.

 

I always enjoy your posts, Telia, and seeing you post here was one of the things that got me started posting more than I had in the past. I can't wait to see the game you and your family are working on. Have fun with it!
